Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney weren’t happy to see that Raquel Leviss shared a “just cause” photo of herself and Tom Schwartz at Schwartz & Sandy’s over the weekend.
After the Vanderpump Rules star, who hooked up with Katie’s now-ex-husband amid their divorce proceedings last summer, took to her Instagram page to post the pic, Stassi admitted to wanting to speak out against her as Katie slammed her co-star as a “desperado.”
“I know no one asked for my opinion, but it’s moments like this I really miss giving it,” Stassi responded, tagging Katie in the caption of the image of Raquel and Schwartz.
And after seeing her best friend’s comment, Katie offered one of her own, giving a nod to a season three moment between Stassi and Scheana Shay, during which Stassi told Scheana, “I’m not really sure what I’ve done to you, but I’ll take a Pinot Grigio.”
“LEMME GUESS? You’d like a glass of Pinot Grigio? Lol,” Katie wrote, along with a skull emoji.
Katie also responded to Raquel’s photo herself, telling her Pump Rules castmate, “You really thought you did something here but these comments ATE LOL,” and including three skull emoji.
As Katie continued to be met with comments from fans, she confirmed she is not “sad” about the image Raquel shared, reacted to claims of Schwartz having the personality of “spray cheese,” and explained why she felt the need to weigh in.
“Girl please, we are not being sad over men with the personality of spray cheese in 2023. No ma’am we are not,” one commenter declared.
“Sadly two people never deserved each other more. You keep thriving, lady!” added another.
“Nobody [is] sad. Lol spray cheese … I’m dead!” Katie responded to the first fan. “The amount of times the picture landed in my inbox I couldn’t leave it alone. Desperado.”
While Katie has made it clear that she did not appreciate Schwartz hooking up with a member of their friend group, both he and Raquel have no regrets their summer 2022 fling.
“[Raquel] and Katie aren’t close. If they were, she wouldn’t have hooked up with Tom. She has no regrets,” a source told Us Weekly last September. “Katie is the one who made the decision to divorce Tom. Whatever he does with another girl is none of her business, friends believe.”
Meanwhile, during an interview with Page Six earlier this month, Tom said, point blank, “It was only a kiss. I don’t regret it,” before noting that he does feel bad about the timing.
“Now, if we want to get into some of the intricacies, maybe the timing was a little disrespectful,” he admitted. “In the moment, I was so caught up in my own little world. Something was in the air. … I regretted it in the sense that it hurt some people that I care a lot about, like maybe [James Kennedy] and Katie — not so much James, but Katie.”
